Frequently Asked Questions

Who supplies bentonite to Europe from India?

Amrfeo Private Limited, a manufacturer since 1994, makes and exports bentonite. It has supplied buyers in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Denmark and Greece.

Which bentonite is used for piling slurry?

Pileman®, at 50 kg per m³ of fresh water. It contains no polymer, so if the ground changes you can add our polymers instead of changing the bentonite.

Which bentonite is used for HDD drilling mud?

Pileman® Trenchless, sodium bentonite with the polymer already in the bag, at 45 kg per m³ of fresh water. For sand, gravel or rock, use Pileman® SDF.

Do you supply PHPA?

Yes. Easy-Bore™ is a PHPA gel that thickens bentonite slurry and coats reactive clay and shale. It is for fresh water only and comes in 25 kg pails.

Do you supply bentonite pellets for borehole sealing?

Yes. Smec-Tight™ is an uncoated, 11 mm sodium bentonite pellet for sealing boreholes, wells and standpipe piezometers. Smec-Tight™ pellets have been supplied to buyers in the UK and Ireland.

How long does shipping to the UK and Ireland take?

Typically 18–24 days by container from Mundra or Kandla to London Gateway or Dublin. Easy-Bore™, AM-PAC™ and Foam-Drill™ ship from Mundra.

What is the price of bentonite delivered to Europe?

Compare cost per m³ of slurry, not price per tonne. A lower dose and less seepage mean fewer cuttings and less slurry to dispose of, and on piling less concrete. Send us your job details and our technical team will work out the numbers with you.
